Mr. Ahmad Ikram Lone, Chairman of Gujranwala Business Centre (GBC), has been appointed as Executive Director of Discover Pakistan TV – Pakistan’s premier infotainment channel with a broadcast presence in over 140 countries. Discover Pakistan is widely recognised for showcasing the nation’s tourism, culture, and economic potential.
With this strategic appointment, the channel aims to expand its international collaborations, particularly in highlighting Pakistan’s industrial capabilities to global audiences. Mr. Lone, together with Mr. Atif Farooqi, Advisor & COO of the Pakistan Romania Business Council, will play a key role in advancing this vision. With deep expertise in international trade, industrial development, and economic diplomacy, Mr. Lone will lead efforts to strengthen media-led trade diplomacy, promote Pakistan’s global image, and open new markets for Pakistani products – in alignment with GBC’s broader mission of industrial empowerment and global outreach.
The announcement was made during a special ceremony chaired by Dr. Kaiser Rafiq, Chairman of Discover Pakistan TV, who called the collaboration a landmark in the channel’s journey toward national development and global engagement.
