Gujranwala Business Centre had the privilege of hosting Dr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey, Director General Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for an insightful discussion on expanding trade opportunities with the African continent.
Dr. Sirohey praised GBC’s efforts in promoting Gujranwala’s industries on the global stage and emphasised the importance of Pakistan’s “Look Africa” policy, also known as “Engage Africa.” The Look Africa policy is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s economic, trade, and diplomatic ties with African nations. Pakistan has taken significant steps under this policy, including establishing diplomatic missions, signing trade agreements, and forming joint commissions to enhance economic cooperation.
Dr. Sirohey highlighted the immense potential for Pakistani businesses in African markets, urging them to explore new opportunities that can diversify trade and reduce reliance on traditional markets.
